The number of commercial and civilian vehicles equipped with automotive radars is expected to rise rapidly in the forthcoming years that comes problem increased mutual interference between radar sensors, which can result severely reduced sensitivity false alarm rates. difficulty complexity increase MIMO systems multiply even further a growing present on scene. Interference Mitigation in Automotive Radars
We study the mutual interference problem arising in the fast growing market of automotive radars. For the widely used frequency-modulated continuous waveform automotive radars, the major consequences of mutual interference are ghost targets and increased noise floor. The schemes of interference mitigation are then investigated, including adaptive signal processing in the time domain at receive ...
متن کاملNew Automotive Applications for Smart Radar Systems
This paper gives an overview of the application of radars in the automotive field in general. A number of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions are described, and the special requirements of the automotive business are considered. Singleand multi-sensor setups are discussed. A new sensor category, a so-called Medium Range Radar (MRR: 40m) is introduced. The application-driven need ...
متن کاملInterference Mitigation Techniques for Broadband Satellite Systems
This paper presents an overview of possible interference mitigation techniques aiming at increasing the system capacity of broadband multimedia satellite systems. A multi-star network topology using a bent-pipe transparent satellite is assumed. After a general overview, the paper concentrates on the assessment of Linear Precoding techniques for increasing the potential system capacity on the Fo...
متن کاملMitigation of Radar Interference in L-band Radio Astronomy
The 1215–1400 MHz band is important for spectroscopy of H i at high redshift, pulsar work, and SETI. Observations at these frequencies are complicated by pulsed interference from ground-based aviation radars. In this paper, we characterize one such radar received at the Arecibo Observatory using coherently sampled data sets obtained during a recent observation. Using these data, we demonstrate ...
